A client wanted to modernise their local wi-fi technology at their hotel to provide consumers with a good reliable internet connection in order to reduce the number of negative comments being left by guests at checkout on trip advisor.

How Simtech helped

Simtech conducted a Wi-Fi survey to analysis the current infrastructures coverage and data rates, this was extended to switching equipment and internet connectivity. We replaced the incoming internet connectivity solution with a high-speed fibre optic solution, upgraded all the internal network switches to gigabit connectivity, replaced and repositioned all the Wi-Fi access points.

A hospitality and leisure business that operates a number of hotels across the United Kingdom wanted to modernise the digital workplace and improve the guests connectivity experience. Data protection was a core element of the modernising project after Marriott Hotels received an £18.4m fine in 2020 for a breach.

How Simtech helped

Simtech designed and implemented a cloud infrastructure, allowing workers to embrace 2FA authentication methods for system access and removed all guest data from local devices across the chain. Digital resiliency was improved and high-speed leased lines were commissioned at each geographical location to improve guest and worker connectivity, local Wi-Fi infrastructure was upgraded and performance tracking and reporting tools were introduced.

How Simtech helped

Simtech raised the base level security requirements across the IT infrastructure, implementing Modern Device Management (MDM), Remote Machine Monitoring (RMM) and Two Factor Authentication (2FA).
