South Wye Police Boxing Academy – Delicious Orie
I had the absolute pleasure of spending the evening with 2021 Commonwealth Gold Medalist and Team GB’s Olympic heavyweight hopeful Delicious Orie, aka DJ. An inspirational young man with a bright future ahead, I got to see how he’s already giving back to the sport he loves and the community by supporting Vince McNally and his dedicated team of volunteers that run the South Wye Police Boxing Academy.
DJ is a true professional and a genuinely nice guy that’s inspiring many youngsters to find discipline and growth through sport. Delicious is following in the footsteps of his hero Anthony Joshua and I have no doubt he will be a heavy weight title contender in the future, but more importantly than that he is helping to inspire youngsters be the best version of themselves.

A friendly club for all ages
A friendly club for all ages and abilities. Currently the youngest boxer is 6, and the oldest 60, years of age.
Many people come to the club just to keep fit and make new friends and never box competitively. There is, however, a thriving boxing squad which has frequently travelled to other clubs and entered National competitions.
Accredited Coaches
The volunteer coaches at the club are all DBS/CRB checked and are accredited by the governing body England Boxing, or are working towards accreditation.
